Ingredients (for 2 pieces, the recipe is easily doubled).
250 gram flour
6 gram yeast (dry yeast)
1 tablespoon honey
30 gram butter
130 lukewarm water
6 gram salt
125 gram grated cheese
2 onions, sliced into half rings
Put the flour and yeast in the TM-bowl and mix it 5 seconds at speed 4. Add salt, honey, butter, water and salt and knead the dough for 6 minutes.
Tip the dough into a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a tea towel (or shower cap, as I do) and leave it to proof for 30 minutes. Preheat your oven at 180 degrees Celsius (conventional oven. Fan-assisted oven 170 degrees Celsius).
Take the dough out of the bowl, knock it back carefully, and divide the dough into two pieces. Roll the dough out into a flat, oval shape. Place the bread 'rolls' on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Divide the onions over the two pieces of dough and cover the onions with cheese. The cheese protects the onions from burning. Bake 25 minutes in the oven until golden.
